Glass pool fencing and glass railing systems have been growing in popularity and the TLC network has noticed. Make This Place Your Home (MTPYH) is an original home television series on TLC showcasing some of the most beautiful and creative designs in the architectural world. How a Pool Fence Can Work for You and Your Family
Our TLC episode features a Los Angeles family that chose to install a pool fence for the safety of their two young children. The mom of this lovely home wanted a fun place for her kids to swim and play but with knowing that close to 76% of child drowning fatalities are children younger than five she had her reservations. In addition, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has indicated that having a pool that is surrounded by a barrier fence reduces a child’s risk of drowning by 83% compared to a property-line fence. With that knowledge, she was sure a pool fence would be well worth the investment. She and her husband still wanted to see the beautiful view of their pool and yard and watch the kids while swimming, which led them to choose Aquaview Fencing. The ½” thick tempered glass used in our pool fencing is double the thickness of that used in car windshields.
