Project Spotlight: Gurney’s Star Island Yacht Club
Gurney’s Star Island Yacht Club is located in Montauk, NY. This award-winning hotel is a traveler’s dream. Surrounded by an abundant amount of history, this resort offers fine dining, a fitness and spa center, tennis courts, multiple swimming pools, and so much more.
The property underwent a massive renovation of its 107 guestrooms, restaurants, lobby, ballroom, meeting spaces and marina. Aquaview’s role was to modernize their two outdoor pool areas. The pool decks were previously enclosed by white vinyl fence which completely blocked the oceanfront views.
We replaced over 300ft of this outdated fence with our frameless glass pool fence system. In doing so we opened up the area beautifully, allowing for views of the pool from all perspectives as well as a picturesque view of the ocean beyond. In addition, we opted for our frameless glass gate to pair with the frameless glass pool fence.
The minimal design of this paired system adds a touch of luxury to the resort’s outdoor pools while ensuring a safe, durable boundary.
